This standard was reviewed during an investigation. There was sufficient evidence that supports that a caregiver used an inappropriate discipline method when a child was grabbed by the arm.

A caregiver used inappropriately discipline by grabbing a child by their arm.

746.1205(a)(4) - Supervision ensures each child?s safety, well-being, including physical proximity and auditory or visual awareness of each child?s on going activity

This standard was reviewed in relation to the self-reported allegations and found to be deficient. A child was left in the bathroom and was soon found by another caregiver in the hallway unsupervised.

746.1205(a)(5) - Responsibilities of Caregivers - Intervene to ensure each child's safety

This standard was reviewed during an investigation and found to be out of compliance. Infants in care were not supervised in an appropriate manner allowing the caregiver to intervene when they were able to put inappropriate items in their mouths posing a risk to their health, and when an infant was able to partially fall on a counter leading to an injury.
