Are daycare violations public record in South Dakota?

What if a daycare shows no violations?

Do all violations mean a daycare is unsafe?

No. Most licensed programs have at least one violation on file, and many are administrative — a missing signature, a late form. What matters is severity and pattern: repeated supervision, ratio, or safe-sleep findings are a different signal than paperwork slips.
